It was my sister, also an artist, who really influenced my leanings toward art since we were both very young.  During my school years, I decided to go into commercial art in order to make a living at what I liked doing.  After 20+ years in the commercial art field, I realized I had strayed away from the things I really loved about art, and so retired early from my job to go back to the more fulfilling field of fine art.  At this point in my quest, my goals are to experiment, develop skills, build a body of work, find the inner voice.

Currently I’m working on both representational and abstract paintings, oil and mixed media.  I work in the studio and also in a weekly live model painting session, which allows me to continually develop my life drawing and oil painting skills.
